Toyota and Lexus models will be able to use Tesla Superchargers

Tesla’s Supercharger stations are becoming the standard as automakers move towards their goal of replacing their lineup with electric vehicles. Toyota is the latest to adopt the North American Charging Standard (NACS).

The Japanese automaker announced that it has reached an agreement with Tesla to include NACS ports in certain Toyota-branded vehicles starting in 2025. Some electric vehicles from its sub-brand Lexus will also come with this charging support.

Tesla announced the first delivery date of Cybertruck!

Tesla has announced that the first versions of the Cybertruck will be delivered at the Gigafactory in Texas, and a date has been given.

Toyota will use NACS ports on its electric vehicles, giving them access to more than 12,000 Superchargers in the US and Canada. While the company will not introduce the standard until next year, its timeline is in line with its competitors.

Toyota and Lexus owners currently using the Combined Charging System (CCS) will have access to NACS adapters from 2025. This means that Toyota will be fully Supercharger compatible.

BMW also recently announced that all its electric vehicles in the US and Canada will adopt the standard. GM and Ford have announced that they will switch to Superchargers from 2025. Honda is already using NACS and plans to sell vehicles with this port.
